Real Estate Lessons from Lisa Orme, Realtor®: Lisa Orme, Broker/Realtor, ABR, CRS,GRI, PSCS, SFR, Notary Pu (The Master's Key Realty LLC -Windsor, CT - HARTFORD COUNTY)

Priority One: Testimony

SignpostsI have made a lot of decisions in my life, but one stands above the rest.  It's not what college I chose, or my career. It's not where I chose to live, or even who I chose to marry. These were all important life choices and each was essential in shaping my life for today. Above all these choices was another choice--what will I do with Jesus Christ?

giftGod sent His Son to earth -- to die-- on a cross -- so I could make this choice.  If I would accept this gift of the death of Jesus for me in my place, God would reserve a place for me with Him forever in heaven.  For me this choice was a "no-brainer" (all heart, I guess) and so I have decided to follow Jesus.

For a long time, I thought "being a Christian" was it.  The Christian walk has provided God's Word for my instruction, guidance and direction.  The bible: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. And that question, "What would Jesus Do?" helped make some difficult situations a bit more clear.

Choosing Christ was easy (for me), but living for Christ daily (making Him Lord over my life) is a choice I make every day.  I am well aware that I was bought with a price, and I am not my own. (1 Cor.  6:20)  So I choose to put down my own rights and desires to serve Him.

BibleAnd so now as I am choosing to share my real estate thoughts and life lessons learned in this blog, I too must share with you my Priority #1: In everything, put God first.  I know it is important that as God is important in my life, he is important in my business.  That's why my business bears His name, and not my own.

God sent His son to die for me BEFORE I even knew Him (Rom. 5:8).  He put me first before His own Son.  So now as I put Him first, including in my business, at the beginning of the week I will share something from the Word of God that has been an encouragement or lesson to me, here in my blog.

It is my hope that this will be an encouragement to you for your life as well. Please feel free to join me on Sundays as I put God first in my blog each week. He is my Priority One.
